Hello from Moncton!

Hello from Moncton! We arrived here last night for the last shows of the eastern swing.

We had a great time in Montreal where we did two shows in one night!

Yikes.

Ottawa folks were fantastic and although I was worried I was going to lose my voice, it seemed to come back about 5 minutes before the show.

Gave me quite a scare.

Four of us the band are now completely hooked to Playstation NHL 10 and have to have surgery on our hands now from over use. Ok that’s not true………….(little bit true though) I have survived the playoffs so far and am holdiing down last place coming into my next rounds. Go Canucks!

Looks like I might be going to New Zealand at the beginning of next month for 5 days. Should be interesting.

All for now,

Colin

In Toronto!

I’m in Toronto after finishing the show tonight in Kitchener. Nice hall and great enthusiastic audience tonight. We are having a great time playing and as always look forward to playing massey hall tomorr…hey .. wait…..what time is it? Oh… Today.YIKES!

Better get to bed.

I guess that’s about it. Pretty mild out here in Toronto…. so far touring in winter hasn’t been too bad.

Peace out!

Colin

5 Shows in!

Hello one and all. I’ve been so busy preparing for this tour, I’ve forgotten to write something. We are 5 shows in now and played in Vancouver last night. What a crowd!! Thank you so much to everyone that has come out so far. We’ve got a great bus driver (and bus) with us and the crew are doing a great job getting everything ticking.

Felt like we gelled as a band tonight and that from now on we can start honing in on having fun and playing the music. Suzy McNeil sounds great so make sure you catch her show. She has a beautiful voice.

Can’t wait to see you there!!!!!

Colin James World Vision Child Sponsorship Promotion

Colin James is very excited to be supporting World Vision’s Child Sponsorship Program on his 2010 Canadian Tour. As a child sponsor for many years, Colin understands the life-changing benefits that come with sponsoring a child and in doing so wants to thank you in person for supporting a child through World Vision. The first four fans to sponsor a child at each of Colin’s performances will have the exclusive opportunity to meet Colin back stage that evening. World Vision will have a promotional table set up at each venue where a World Vision representative volunteer will be more than happy to assist you in sponsoring a child of your choice. It’s that easy. For so little, we can do so much and literally change a life. We look forward to seeing you at the show.

Howdy howdy howdy howdy…

Thought I’d start out all “western like” with the howdy.

Hmmmm… Well the record came out on October 6th and it’s been fun to hear something rocking on the radio!

Wavelength went to radio a few days ago and it’s starting it’s run while Man’s Gotta Be A Stone winds down. Lost Again is getting some play as well, and entered the AC chart this week so here’s hoping it has a good go of it. Please make sure to request the song at your local station!

I moved after years in the same place so that was a huge endeavor. Moving sucks! Really happy with the new place mind you and change is good.

Don’t know if I ever want to move again although , I know I will. What a stressful deal that is !!! It’s all just stuff though and not that important in the grand scheme really.

I went to Paris for a quick trip the other day after playing a private show in Toronto and had an awesome time. I stayed in the Marais and just walked around checking out galleries , window shopping and hanging out in crisp, sunny weather.

I had a great time joining Downchild Blues Band’s 40th anniversary show at Massey Hall a couple nights ago. Thought their show was fantastic and really enjoyed meeting James Cotton and his wife. I’ve been checking out old footage of James Cotton lately and reacquainting myself with his fantastic playing.

Dan Aykroyd was a great emcee and it was fun hanging out with him a bit and playing on stage together as well.

Of course had a chance to catch up with Colin Linden who opened and played during the night’s show and Tom Wilson who hung out for a bit.

Tons of fun.

Thanks to everyone that bought VIP packages and/or tickets for the shows in 2010, looking forward to seeing you! Reminder if you haven’t got your tickets yet, please do! Check the tour section for details.

Anyway, I guess that’s it for now and see you soon,

Colin James

Greetings!

Hope you’re having a great summer. It’s Colin here on a typically long over due progress report. You may have heard a couple of new songs on the radio by now, called Man’s Gotta Be A Stone and Lost Again. These are the first singles from the new record coming out this fall called Rooftops and Satellites. Hell we hope they play em all!!!The new disc has 12 songs of which 9 are original and 3 are covers. I’m heading out to Toronto to do some press soon and might just have to go see Van Morrison at Massey Hall while I’m at it. The tickets for my show at Massey Hall are now on sale and the rest of the Canadian tour will be announced in the upcoming days. Keep an eye on the tour section for updates. The web site will go through an update soon and it will have some great new features and a brand new look as well. Hopefully this will be ready at release time for the new record. I’m really excited about touring in the new year and playing these new songs.

Take care,
Colin James
